Disappointment of game of thrones season 8 episode 5 "the bells". [Spoilers]

This episode has to be the most poorly written of any episode to come before. The only thing that seemed to be done right was the brotherly battle of the Cleganes.

As for the descent into madness of Danaerys it seemed ridiculous her choice to burn the city itself. The writers could still convey that she has gone a bit bonkers having her head straight for the keep after cersei. There would still be collateral damage and death of civilians as many are held here and it would be a lot less unbelievable than having Danaerys go through the city burning man, woman and child.

Also having John shout at the surrending soldiers to leave the city and greyworm not following in Danaerys stead as again this seemed to senseless and illogical. I know they both were grieving over missandei's execution but the senseless slaughter of innocents seemed entirely characteristic at least out of Danaerys.

My prediction with the showing of arya in the collapse seeing the extent of the deaths of men, women and children shows she may be adding a name to her list, that being Danaeys as she can kill and has no real quarrels about doing so for the greater good. Another thought I had was the white horse being either a symbol of there still being purity or as I think it being a symbol of her being death riding the pale horse also showing she will be bringing an end to this and queen.

What were your thoughts? Do you think I'm rifht? What would you have done differently?
